The purpose of the Ladies Ministry is to show our neighbors that love that Christ has so freely given to us. Who is my neighbor? Christ tells us of the Good Samaritan in the book of Luke who showed concern for a total stranger who had been attacked by thieves. This Samaritan was the third person to see this stranger. The first two people who came by could have helped, but chose to ignore him. Christ went on to explain that the true neighbor was the one who showed love and compassion for another, and Christ commanded us to do the same. We want to be busy fulfilling this commandment. We want to minister to the lost, the needy, and the lonely that come across our path and to keep our eyes open to the TRUE needs of those around us. We want to accomplish this through prayer, visits, calls, cards, meals, fellowship or simply making an effort to reach out in kindness to those around us.
